Join us for a special Winter Solstice dinner celebration and welcome to winter and the holidays! And a feast of 7 fishes, Sicilian Style!! (okay, might be a few more than 7, us witches can't count ;))
And! Back in the Spring, Strega closed for a couple weeks to take the staff to Sicily to inspire and learn about authentic Italian hospitality and cooking, we are digging out our notes and will be incorporating some of our favorite Island inspired dishes for this Seafood Feast!
Sicilia, the gorgeous island off of the southern most tip of Italy is by far one of our favorite places in the world. Surrounded by the crystal clear sea, Mt. Etna's beauty, the hills dotted with olive groves, fruit and nut trees, the ancient amphitheaters,... It's enough to fall in love with the place (even before tasting the food and rich wines with fantastic mineral character from the volcanic soil)!
Sicily holds possibly the strongest regional sense in Italy. The language is different, the culture remains very traditional and old-fashioned, and the food is absolutely divine. With a rich ancient greek and Arab history, and its placement on the spice route, the influence comes across in many of the dishes. Sicilian dishes are set apart from traditional pan-Italian with the interesting combinations of citrus, rice, sugar, dried fruits, pine nuts, baking spices like cinnamon and nutmeg, pepper, pistachio, olives, etc. The warm climate and bountiful waters bring bright ripe flavors and plenty of seafood to the table, As well as wild meats with bright punchy flavors.
Seatings are available between 5 and 9pm by reservation. Follow the RSVP link to make your reservation. Large parties are welcomed and encouraged for this four course family-style feast.
Dinner will be served up Family-style as usual, and we encourage you to gather big groups of family in town to try strega for the first time!!
The Theme, of course, is also the 7 fishes for the Holiday's, so we are asking you to Dress festive! Dress as a Winter Witch for the Solstice, as a Holiday Fairy, as an Under the Sea Creature, as a bedazzled Italian queen! Of course costumes are optional, but very much appreciated!

****Strega will have a small a la carte menu available for those not up for the full spread, but please note in your reservation if you're not planning to participate in the feast of 7 fishes!
***Please note: This dinner is not suitable for all diets--Please check on dietary restrictions and needs in advance. While we are happy to bulk up the dishes that you can eat and be sure you're well fed, we do not offer menu substitutions.
**This is a seafood feast! But!! IFF you have family in town who are not fish eaters, we can come up with a special alternate menu for the whole table if you CALL US (906.236.2891) well in advance-- this would require full table participation for alternate menu.
*Dinner is NOT prepaid, but Resy will take a credit card per our cancellation/no show policy ($50/guest for no shows and cancellations less than 48 hrs in advance)
