Ay, Ay, Aye! Que Chevere! : A trip to Colombia (Friday 2/28)

Friday February 28, 2025 · Seatings from 5-9pm · $75/person (Beverage Pairings $45)

Ciao Amici!

Hopefully now we are fully excited about the winter wonderland we live in, high off of the mountains of snow and fresh powder, and ready to play in the snow for another month....? Or maybe secretly wishing for a spicy trip to South America... Dancing Salsa and Cumbia, Kitesurfing in the Caribbean, Gorging on Fresh Seafood and taking trips to the coffee farms and hiking in the Mountains... Ahhh... Let's keep the dream alive!

Aye Aye Aye!! Let Strega take you on a fantastical vacation, culinary style!! So, dress in your best bright tropical colors, and come to Strega for an evening filled with tangy tropical cocktails, umbrella drinks and some favorite Colombian dishes.

Rachael got to spend some time in Colombia back in 2015, and again this year during Strega's Fall Break, and she's freshly inspired to share some of her favorite culinary memories! The food in Colombia is very varied from the vast area and multiple regional differences! Colombian Food has its indigenous influence, as well as Afro Latino and Spanish influence from the colonization. The Caribbean, Pacific and tropical regions bring wonderful fruits and seafood, while the mountains bring coffee, bananas, & country style "paisa" food.

Menu TBD, but Think: Maracuja (passion fruit), Punchy ceviches, Coconut Rice, patacones, cazuela di mariscos (seafood stew), Sancocho (Colombian Corn & Chicken Soup), Bandeja Paisa & more!!

Please Join us for this very special dinner series! Round up your friends, your best tropical outfits, any dance moves you might want to show off, and make reservations with the link below.

**Please note: This dinner is not suitable for all diets. We are happy to bulk up the portions of courses your group can eat, but don't offer substitutions.
