A Tropical January!!: A Trip to Hawaii (and Strega Helen's Bday Bash!)

Hopefully now we are fully excited about the winter spirit, high off of the holidays, and ready to play in the snow....for the next 3 months! Well, maybe 5 months.

But! Maybe to welcome the winter right, we need a night of tropical fun. In January! So, dress in your Hawaiian best (or just wear a bathing suit), and come to Strega for an evening filled with tangy tropical cocktails, umbrella drinks and some favorite Hawaiian dishes. Plus! This is Strega Helen's birthday weekend, and we need to pretend like we are taking her back to Hawaii! Help us celebrate

Rachael got to spend some time in the Hawaiian Islands during Strega's Fall Break, and she's freshly inspired to share some of her favorite culinary memories! The food in Hawaii is particularily exciting because of the influences it pulls being located smack dab in the center of the Pacific Ocean! We ill find Japanese, Chinese, Indigenous, Portuguese, and Polynesian Flavors, all inspired by tropical fruits and plants that grown in the tropics.

Menu TBD, but Think: Hawaiian Tako Poke, Squid Luao, Maybe Mochiko Chicken, Kalua Pig, Rice, Passion Fruit Sauce, Mac Nuts, Mai Tai's Ginger-Lime Umbrella Drinks, and more....Don't miss the occasion!

And of course Tropical Mocktails will be available, for those of you practicing dry (or damp!) January!
